Smart Factory Automation Exhibition Review
I visited the Smart Factory Automation Exhibition (AW 2025) held at COEX in Seoul for 3 days from March 12 (Wed) to March 14 (Fri), 2025. It was a large exhibition that used the entire COEX exhibition hall. Despite the recent economic downturn, the high number of visitors was very encouraging. Various solutions for smart factories and automation from different companies were noticeable. The most striking point was that many Chinese companies were participating in the exhibition. While they may not have offered solutions with the best performance and precision, they were nevertheless conducting aggressive marketing by supplying products at 50% of the price of foreign products. While this would be difficult to apply to solutions boasting the highest precision, it was expected that they would quickly erode the market in lower-tier industries by leveraging their tremendous price competitiveness.

Bearings play a vital role in machinery, similar to a heart. However, a defect in this small component can cause the entire system to fail. Particularly, when cracks develop in bearings, vibration and noise increase, lubrication problems occur, temperature rises, and eventually lead to equipment performance deterioration and unexpected breakdowns. To prevent these issues in advance, AI Systems Co., Ltd. has developed bearing crack detection technology using acoustic resonance, and recently validated its effectiveness through testing.
